Meet our Trainer Head Taylor!
Taylor has been immersed in the pet care industry since 2017, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of roles — including doggie daycare, veterinary clinics, pet boarding, dog walking, and training. This diverse background has given her a well-rounded understanding of canine care, health, and behaviour.
Driven by a deep passion for dogs and a commitment to ongoing growth, Taylor regularly attends seminars, courses, and hands-on training alongside respected professionals in the field. Her training approach is informed, balanced, and rooted in a deep respect for each dog’s individual needs.
While she works with dogs of all temperaments, Taylor specializes in behaviourally complex cases — including reactivity, and fear-based behaviours. Helping misunderstood dogs succeed is not just her skillset — it’s her passion.
Taylor believes that with structure, patience, and the right guidance, every dog has the potential to thrive.
Why choose us?
Penny’s Pals was born out of a personal need — the challenge of finding a safe, experienced, and understanding caregiver for our own three dogs. Our sweet girl, Penny, has always had her reservations around other dogs and strangers, which made finding the right fit incredibly difficult. We realized we weren’t alone in this struggle — and decided to build something better.
At Penny’s Pals, we understand that your dog is more than just a pet — they’re family. That’s why we treat every dog in our care with the same love, respect, and attention that we give our own.
We take the time to get to know each dog as an individual, tailoring our care to meet their specific needs, sensitivities, and routines. Whether your pup is outgoing, shy, reactive, or just needs a little extra patience, you can feel confident they’re in capable, compassionate hands.
Because when you leave your dog with us, we don’t just provide care — we provide trust, structure, and heart.
Taylor and Kyle
Penny’s Pals is built on a shared love for dogs — and it all started with one.
After working with a dog named Striker, Taylor was dropping him off when she met Kyle... and the rest is history. Since then, the two have been not just partners in life, but partners in building a business rooted in compassion, structure, and a deep understanding of canine care.
Kyle is Penny’s Pals’ biggest supporter and plays a vital role behind the scenes. He genuinely cares for every dog who comes through our doors and takes the time to learn how to handle each one with confidence and care. Whether it's helping with structured routines, giving dogs one-on-one attention, or keeping everything running smoothly, Kyle is always there to ensure every pup receives the very best during their stay.
Together, Taylor and Kyle have created a home and a business where dogs especially those who need a little extra understanding are treated like family.

Meet Mady
We’re so excited to introduce the newest addition to the Penny’s Pals team — Mady, our apprentice trainer.
“Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with family dogs and started working in a grooming salon as a dog bather just to keep dogs in my daily routine — until I adopted my own pup, Ronnie!
Ronnie completely changed everything I thought I knew about dog ownership. He was an angel at home, but his reactivity made everyday outings incredibly difficult. I met Taylor at a community pack walk and eventually signed Ronnie up for a three-week board and train — and it truly changed our lives.
From there, I dove headfirst into learning. I enrolled in every class I could — from basic obedience to dog sports — and eventually made the leap from hotel management to working full-time with dogs as a pack hike leader.
Last summer, my partner and I adopted Honey, who is the complete opposite of Ronnie. She’s sensitive, sweet, and has already taught me so much.
I’m so excited to be learning under Taylor, getting to know all of your amazing pups, and continuing my journey to help more dogs and their people thrive.”
Mady brings compassion, first-hand experience, and an eagerness to grow — and we’re so lucky to have her on the team.
